Three-Year-Old Katie Weldon from Cork prepares to savour a beautiful cupcake made by her namesake company, Cupcakes By Katie, ahead of this year's SHOP exhibition at the RDS in Dublin. Over 4500 visitors are expected to attend the exhibition next week.

Miss Katie's Tea Rooms have reached the six month milestone and what an exciting six months it has been! We have welcomed people of all ages from all corners of the world and have been overwhelmed with the Goodwill and support from all.

So what's happening next??
This October see's the start of our knitting club. From beginners to experts, all are welcome. You might be surprised to find how easy it comes back to you once you give it a go! Tuesday Oct 6th is the first meeting, if you are interested email Kay at cupcakesbykatie@eircom.net for more details.

As October ends we will be celebrating halloween in a truly Ghostly fashion. A special Halloween Story Telling will take place on Saturday October 31st for Children aged 5 to 12 years. More details and a sample of the Halloween Cakes and Cupcakes will be posted soon.

And as Christmas draws near we are planing a Fabulous Christmas Fayre on Saturday 12th of December. If you like the scones and the Cupcakes then you will love the Christmas treats that we have in store for you. But even though some of the shops have started displaying their Christmas stock, we feel its a little early so keep checking back with us for more details and photos.

Last weekend, Cupcakes By Katie headed off to Electric Picnic. Amidst the music, the mud and the seaweed baths, the lovely Lisa from Kitsch Kafe was spotted by The Irish Times and The Sunday Independent sampling the delights of mini cupcakes.

The third Annual Mallow Street Food Festival will be held on the Main Street on Sunday, August 23. Developed to showcase some of the leading food producers in Munster, it promises to be a family fun filled day with something for every food lover, especially for those of you with a sweet tooth!!

To celebrate the birthday of one of G.A.A's greatest supporters, this Teddy Bear sported his Rebel County Colours!

Meet the latest addition to the Cupcakes By Katie Family, Katie's Moses Basket. This beautiful cake is a replica of the very first gift Sinead gave to Katie and in just a few weeks has become extremely popular.

The 2009 Cork Summer Show took place in June over 2 glorious days in Ballincollig. Cupcakes By Katie were there to take part in what was a truly memorable occassion. From Tractors to Miniature ponies and Balloon artists to tasty treats, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
